I came across Pilates about 12 years ago at a time in my life when I had a desk job and uncomfortable lower back problems. I found, to my great delight, that not long after starting Pilates classes, as I gained more strength and better posture, those lower back issues slowly disappeared.
Since then I have fallen completely in love with the movement of this exercise method, which builds from the inside out, with benefits being felt through the ease of daily movement.
With my passion for this practice, it seemed a very natural progression to embark on a Pilates Teacher Training Course and so I began my Matwork studies with STOTT Pilates early in 2015. I am currently continuing my studies with Polestar Pilates Matwork Method and am totally committed to ongoing studies and training.
Pilates is an extremely flexible exercise system as modifications to the exercises allow for a range of difficulty from beginner to advanced. As many of the exercises are performed in reclining or sitting positions, and most are low impact and partially weight bearing, Pilates is so safe that it is used in physical therapy facilities to rehabilitate injuries.
By following a regular practice it is a given that you will gain inner strength, flexibility and improved posture, so come and try this fun, dynamic, mind and body exercise movement.
Classes commence Saturday November 26th at 7.30-8.30am at the Studio and are available on your 5 or 10 Class Pass.
